MISSION
An alien spacecraft has been spotted orbiting Earth! They are a peaceful species and wish to share their advanced technology with the human race. They are also bringing a special dessert they claim is more delicious than chocolate!
The aliens need our help! They do not have a way to land on Earth and safely bring their special desert. They have asked Earth to design a lander using only the supplies available on their ship.
The aliens are represented by two marshmallows who will travel in an upright plastic cup. Tape the plastic cup to the landing platform. The aliens require the plastic cup to be unobstructed. All building must take place BELOW the landing platform. Your goal is to slow down the lander as it hits Earth so that the aliens remain inside the cup.
LANDER MISSION RULES:
1. Attach the cup to the landing platform.
2. All building takes place underneath the landing platform. No covering the cup or platform.
3. Gently stack the marshmallows into the cup. Do not eat, squish, or draw on them.
4. Use as many or as little supplies as needed for your design.
5. Your design must keep the marshmallows from jumping out of the cup at a 1 ft, 2 ft, and 3 ft height.
